Xa Loi Pagoda is a city relics because it’s the headquarter of Buddhism in South Vietnam. It was built in 5 August 1956 and officially opened in 2 May 1958. Address: at a corner of Ba Huyen Thanh Quan and Su Thien Chieu Street, Dist. 3
Its area is about 2500 m², including a library, a bell tower, a shrine, a rooms that sells Buddhism books, and a few other rooms for the monks.
One special thing about this is the bell tower (like the picture below) It is 32 meters high with 7 seven stories- used to be the tallest bell tower in Vietnam. There’s a 2 tones bell on the top, made to be a version of the bell in a famous pagoda in Hue.
